"I can think better when I think alone."- E.B. White

It was late summer, and I had spotted this days prior to taking this picture. Rickie insisted it was Charlotte's Web... who was I to argue, of course it's Charlotte's Web !!
Here's one of my favorite quotes from Charlotte's Web! Charlotte talking to Wilbur:

"Why did you do all this for me?" he asked. "I don't deserve it. I've never done anything for you."
"You have been my friend," replied Charlotte. "That in itself is a tremendous thing. I wove my webs for you because I liked you. After all, what's a life, anyway? We're born, we live a little while, we die... By helping you, perhaps I was trying to lift up my life a trifle. Heavens knows anyone's life can stand a little of that."

Reading to your kids pays off!!

Head on over to Candid Carrie for some phantastic Fotos of excellence!

People HAVE to stop posting these kinds of pictures. My feet come shooting up off the floor so darned fast I almost flip upside down in my chair with my ass flailing(which would not be pretty, I must add...) and my poor self hyperventilating!!

lol

LOVE that book. One of my fondest memories was taking The Boy to see it just after he finished reading it. What an amazing experience for us both!

Reading to your kids pays off in more ways than one can fathom... Clearly your little boy is into books-keep that up! Nothing like books for friends - I say this from experience on many levels with my own son and my own growing up!

Very nice post!

ROFL - yeah - we can't hurt spiderwebs or spiders here either because of that book/story.

Thanks for sharing!

Nice Wolf spider - that is what my 7 year old calls them.

I also like how you tied it into the quote from the book.

Wow! That is quite the spider. My favorite character is the rat. I love the song about a fair being a smorgasbord.

Funny but I don't have a single issue with spiders. Snakes - that is another matter all together.

And I read to my kids every night for years. I am so proud that today they are not only great readers but enthusiastic ones, also.

The only thing I like about spiders is the popping noise they make when you step on them.

Am I kidding? Hmmmmm ...

That's a real good picture of the spider! (Athough, It still gives me the heebie jeebies!) Great Book. My dad was all about the same thing. Read it when they're young, and it will prove worthy later! And it did!
