You, got mail!

How do you make a six year olds day? You send them something in the mail! Everyday when we check the mail someone will say..."Did I get anything, Mom?"

And my answer to them is..."No, you have to write or send something to get something?"

Well, today was different...I went to the bottom of the stairs...that's where our mailbox is, and whoa and behold...Rickie received mail...

Me-- "Rickie, come here...you got something in the mail!"

He comes running up the stairs from the basement with a big fat grin on his face.

Rickie-- "I did?"

Me--"Yes, come here and open it!"

Rickie tore into the envelope.

Rickie--"Wow, look mom...money!"

Me--"Its so cool, it's a card let's read it!"

Hello Rickie

This is the second thing I am sending you because the first thing I sent to you came back to me all goofed so , I get to do "do-over" on that one!

I saw this card at Target and I had to buy it because it reminded me of the pillow case you were resting on in a picture I saw of you. You look very handsome laying on a pile of money :)

It finally got to be summer in Wisconsin and it is way too hot for me. We have had very exciting rain storms with thunder and lightening and hail. The hail was very exciting and some of my kids went outside to walk in the hail. Not me! No thank you.

Then when the sun came out we had a true double rainbow. It was so cool to see.

Bye, from Wisconsin, Carrie

Carrie--You made a six year olds day! Thank you so much. Not only are you one of the funniest ladies in blog-land, but you have one of the biggest hearts!

p.s. she also sent him a pad of paper and on the front it read:

Rickie--Use this note paper to make lists of stuff you want your mom to do for you!! Ha Ha

I swear I sent that two weeks ago, what the heck took it so long to get over to your side of Lake Michigan! I should have hopped on the ferry and delivered it myself!

P.S. Rickie, I've been putting something in the mail for you every Monday morning! Be sure to pester your mom every single day to hurry and check the mail! Moms love to be bossed around like that!

Hi, it is just me. Don't get too excited. I had to come back and click on the picture so I could print it out and hang it on my refrigerator. My kids want to look at you some more and I just can't leave my computer sit around all day with your cute face hanging around, how would I get anything done around here!

Later Gater!

What an awesome surprise for a truly remarkable little guy! Sounds like Rickie has got his own little angel in Carrie.
