The Truth and a lie--- The Truths

I ran my first Marathon in 2004 in Detroit...as you can see by the picture the time--my actual time was 3:52:46! Not too bad considering I had many injuries while training...for my age bracket I had to run it by 4 hours!

This is me over there on the horse! In 1977 I was 17 years old and I qualified for the World Championships. I went and got third in the world!

Concerning sky-diving...no way in a million years would I jump out of a plane. On the other hand my parents sky-dived all the time while I was growing up, as did my two brothers.

So unfortunately nobody won my little fun game!

You go girl! Very impressive-you should write a post about your athletic gifts, experiences and family. It would make very interesting reading, for sure.

As for the lie, I almost thought that the sky-diving seemed a bit much and struggled with it, but then I thought there are folks who do it like your parents... But I knew you were a runner for sure because I read your profile... This was actually a fun test!

Wow! Sub 4 marathon. And did I read that it was your first marathon? Did you run a lot prior to training for that?

Jumping out of a perfectly good airplane may be crazy but it is something I have always wanted to do. So it is still on my list.

Awesome! I don't know why I missed this when you posted it, but I did. I would have liked to have guessed. *pouting*

I am so impressed by those with tremendous athletic ability. You have that & it's such a good thing. Can you tell me the secret to loving running? I always dreaded it.

Red-I always wanted to run a marathon so yes I ran a lot before...I started running when I was pregnant for Gavin who is now 14. And yes, it was my first and I thought I was going to die on mile 21 this guy gave me some advil I took it while I was running because if I stopped I'd never start up again!

Lex-I run because I love to clear my head mostly and I like the benefit it gives me physically.

Thanks guys for your complements!!:)
