Seriously....Where does the other sock end up?....

I was watching TV this evening, and I glanced over to my son, sitting on the couch with my daughter. Not too unusual I know--but I glanced down to his shoes, and see the top of his socks and something didn't jive.

He had two white socks on, no big deal right? Wrong! He had on my favorite running sock, not two, but one! Yes, that's right they didn't match!

I don't know about you, but I'm very particular about my socks...I love socks. Especially expensive ones. They're just so comfortable, unlike their cheap impostors.

me: "Gavin, why do you have just one of my running socks on?"

Gavin: "Because, I hate to match socks."

me: "You cannot wear my running socks if you're not going to match them!"

Gavin: "It really isn't that big of a deal, is it?"

me: "Yes, I love them...and if you can't take the time, (like I already said a million times) you cannot, will not wear MY socks!"

"So there!"

Gavin: "OK mom, I hear you."

me: "Just remember, do not wear my socks anymore...even if you find the match." "Which by the way, you probably lost my other running sock and I'll never find it!"

Gavin: "I'll buy you another pair."

me: "OK."

Can you still PMS at my age? That was my moment this evening. All kidding aside, I am so into sharing, but when it comes to certain things (like socks) I really can't stand to see it on other peoples feet.

By the way, where the heck do they go?

Closets?
Under beds?
Behind the washer...dryer?
some secret sock Nazi? who likes to mess with you?

I don't know-- where do they end up, at your house? Let me know!

Didn't you see the commercial a year or so ago that answered the missing sock question?

After asking the question the camera moved to a view of the famous picture of Sasquatch in the woods and he was wearing it.

It was pretty darn funny.

No, never did see that one! It does sound pretty funny though!

Well it must be the Nazi or Sasquatch because I haven't found any of the missing socks in my house!

You are me. This is getting to scarey. Where should we celebrate Christmas this year, your house or mine?

The dog eats it.

However, I don't have a dog. So I suppose ours dissolve into thin air.

Anymore questions b/c I am the wisest in the land. Ok wisest smart alek that is. ;)
