Moving Day for Ali

Everyday here seems to be an adventure of some sort. Especially when you factor in six kids and their different personality's. There's never a dull moment here.

Today, was very momentous for our oldest, she moved from the dorms and moved today into a house with three other people. How exciting is that! Talk about looking at things through rose colored glasses, her description to me- verses reality....Wow. Don't get me wrong the house is fine, but boy is it dirty. There were two ladies there cleaning it, so maybe after that's done it will be OK.

The setting is very nice, it sits back from the road a bit, with numerous trees. I'm just so excited for her. Staying in a dorm is basically still living at home everything is taken care of for you, meals, bathrooms cleaned etc.

Living in a house is a whole new experience and my child has crossed over to adulthood. Very bittersweet for me. Ali I am so proud of you. I am also very happy that you have become the person that you are.
Dorm Room^
Love and miss you.

Awww...that is a bittersweet moment. Your little girl is officially on her own. Well, maybe not officially as you still pack her lunches! :)

I saw the comment you posted on my blog - and then deleted. I did have a chance to pop over to Nate's blog and read the comment you were referring to, but just now went back and saw that Nate deleted both the negative comment and yours in response.

I do not think you were being to sensitive - that guy was a jerk! I definitely think his comments were rude and it looks like Nate must have agreed as he deleted them. I'm not sure if his rudeness is directed at Nate, or if this guy is just a very bitter person. Did you notice that he left a rude comment also pretty much dissing Oprah and calling her a racist. I agree with you, if you do not have something nice to say, don't say anything!

Jen, I just felt weird after he took it off like I probably should not of said anything! Oh well, the guys been a jerk and I couldn't help myself!

I didn't know if I should post it on yours either so that's why I changed my mind and took it off.

I'm one of six too. (number four). When I tell my Mom I can't wait till the kids get older so I can get some sleep she just laughs at me.

"You're not going to sleep than either...you'll be laying awake at night listening for ambulances while your kids are out gallavanting around town."

Do you sleep?? Is there hope for me??

Kathy, I do sleep finally!! haha I remember when I had 5, all under age 7...*sigh* fun times, but when it was bedtime I felt very anxious. You know the alarm clock on your pillow? Well, every time my head hit the pillow someone started crying. I remember the feeling of distress and stomach in the throat. Ahhhhhhh sh** it's not fair!!! Husband never heard any of them...maybe that's why I'm not married to him anymore! lol

It's different when there older laying awake waiting for them to get home, thinking if that phone rings, I do not want to answer it! It's all good though. When they get home yes-then I do sleep.

Thanks for stopping by!
